Hannah MacDougall has already established herself as a successful Paralympian after returning home from her first Paralympics in Athens with a bronze medal in the 4×100m medley relay. At the age of 19, Hannah has demonstrated to her fellow team mates that she displays all the desirable leadership qualities to be voted one of the team leaders.
Hannah has enthusiastically taken on her role as team leader by regularly sending her team mates inspirational emails and also giving everybody cheerleading duties, which include buying straw hats, flags, kangaroos, Australian tattoos and green and gold zinc.
Hannah is a true water baby; when she is not following that black line dreaming of Paralympic gold, she spends her spare time as a swim teacher. Her goals for Beijing are to break the world record in the 100m backstroke and to be the best she can be.
