Nick Larionow

Cerebral palsy hasn’t stopped Geelong based Nick Larionow from establishing a formidable track record in shot put.

In 2000, Nick experienced his first taste for competition and two short years later, he represented his country at the 2002 IPC World Championships in France. In 2004, he took home bronze at the Paralympic Games in Athens and has also broken the Australian record in the CP36 shot put, earning him the Most Outstanding Performance for a male at the Victorian Track and Field Championships in Melbourne.

When the full time athlete is not training, Nick can be found on the basketball court shooting hoops or chilling out listening to his music.

With his goal to win a gold medal at the Beijing Paralympics and retain his world best status, it doesn’t seem Nick is letting anything get in his way.
