Shelly Rogers

Shelley entered last year’s Open swimming Nationals hoping to make a final in any event and came out a silver medallist in her favourite event; the 100m Backstroke.

Shelley said after the event: “When I won the silver medal in the 100 back at my second Nationals I have never been more stoked!”

At 17 years of age Shelley competed at her first major International Competition; the World swimming Championships. Shelley was born with Cerebral Palsy resulting from a stroke before birth. Shelley is currently ranked 2nd and 3rd in the World in both her events which shows that Shelley is a swimmer to watch come Beijing.
