Athletes Correspondence Program

A key component of the TPEP is the Athlete Correspondence Program. Essentially, this is a pen pal scheme that will link schools with Paralympic (or aspiring Paralympic) athletes and will be available upon registration with the TPEP.

Correspondence to your athlete can be by postcard, fax, email, video or recorded message or any other way that you would like to communicate! Due to the time constraints faced by our athletes, personal responses cannot be guaranteed however schools will receive an introductory letter from their athlete.

If the athlete lives or works near your school, he/she may also elect to ‘adopt' your school and visit students for special events like a school sports day or annual presentation night. These requests can be submitted through the Athlete Visits section.

Please see details about arranging an athlete to visit your school in Term 4 on the opening page of the site on the right hand side.

*Please note that only schools in Australia will be eligible to participate in the Athlete Correspondence Program.
